Careers in the wood industry

The Australian Forest Products Association

The Australian Forest Products Association was formed by the merger of Australian Plantations, Products and Paper Industry Council (A3P) and the National Association of Forest Industries (NAFI).

The Australian Government

The Australian Government Department of Agriculture site includes links to sites and extensive information about many primary industries, including forestry.

Design and construction

A national wood and wood products industry website, this is designed to provide information to architects, engineers and other building and design professionals.

The Furnishing Industry Association of Australia (FIAA)

The Furnishing Industry of Australia (FIAA), is an industry association representing the interests of both residential and commercial members of the furnishing industry. FIAA members include many workers in wood, such as joiners and cabinet makers, wood turners and woodworkers.

Carpentry Australia

A national representative organisation for people working or training in the carpentry trade.

The Wooden Boat Association

The Wooden Boat Association comprises groups from throughout Australia and is open to all owners, builders, restorers and lovers of boats made of wood, including old, new, carvel, clinker, ply and composite construction.

Musical instruments

A national association of professional and amateur musical instrument makers whose members build and repair a wide variety of traditional, classical, folk and modern instruments.
